Flag Football Program
The Prairie Ridge Jr. Wolves Flag Football Program offers a fantastic opportunity for young athletes to develop their football skills in a supportive and structured environment. This program focuses on teaching basic skills, terminology, and position play to prepare athletes for a smooth transition to the Jr. Wolves Tackle Program.
Program Highlights
- Age Divisions
- 5/6 years old
- 7/8 years old
- Age cutoff date: September 1st
- Season Dates
- Games: Every Saturday from late August to late October. (Possibility of Sunday games)
- Practices: Start late July and take place and Prairie Grove Elementary.(3223 Illinois Route 176, Prairie Grove, IL 60014)

- Practice Frequency: 5/6 level 1-2 days per week for 1-1.5 hours. 7/8 level 2-3 days per week for 1.0-1.5 hours.
- Home Games: Played at Jr. Wolves game field at Prairie Ridge High School

- Included: Game jersey and flags.
- Required: Mouth guards for all practices and games. (Not included in registration
- Recommended: Molded cleats (Not included in registration)
- IMPORTANT: We practice in the rain and cold weather, so please dress your athlete accordingly. If there is lightening or excessive heat, practice will be cancelled.
Player Development Focus:
- Learning offensive and defensive techniques and positions.
- Learning the rules and basic strategies of football.
- Start the foundation of doing things the “Wolf Way”. Becoming a good team member, learning good sportsmanship, being coachable and putting forth good effort.
